Similan National Park Information
Mu Ko Similan National Park is located in the Andaman Sea, off the western coast of Phang Nga Province. The park consists of 11 small islands, known for their crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine white sand beaches, and vibrant coral reefs, making it a world-renowned destination for diving and tourists from around the globe.
Area and Geography
The park covers an area of approximately 140 square kilometers, including both sea and islands. The islands are mainly granite, with some portions covered by lush tropical rainforests. Island 8 (Similan Island)
The largest island in the Similan group, famous for its "Sail Rock," a unique rock formation perched on top of a hill. The island features fine white sandy beaches and clear waters, making it a popular diving spot. Visitors can also hike along a nature trail to the top of Sail Rock for breathtaking views of the sea.
