Pam’s Restaurant & Bar
At Pam’s Restaurant & Bar you can dine on Thai food made with passion while sitting in a beautiful garden. It looks especially striking at night thanks to strings of white fairy lights. Menu favourites include a range of grilled meat and veggie delights plus treats like spring rolls and tempura and a long list of colourful cocktails. Call in advance, and you can book an evening cooking class with Pam herself.
Pam’s Restaurant & Bar is located just off Petchkasem Road to the north of Khao Lak Village. If you’re struggling to find transport, you can call the restaurant and ask about their hotel pickup service. Just remember that the restaurant is closed on Sunday
Nai Muang Khao Lak
Nai Muang Khao Lak has a nostalgic retro charm thanks to interior decorations that include sewing machines, record players and old tin-mining memorabilia. But it’s the quality of its southern Thai cuisine that gives this restaurant a well-deserved spot in the Michelin Guide. Seafood delicacies like stir-fried shrimps and crab curries always go down a treat, and there’s plenty on offer for both meat-eaters and vegetarians.
The menu here offers great value, making it a fantastic place to try Thai food that comes with international acclaim but won’t break the bank. The restaurant is quietest between 3 pm and 5 pm, though there’s usually no wait for a table at any time.
Bussaba Thai Restaurant
Bussaba Thai Restaurant is a multi-award-winning and cosy restaurant with a dining area that spills out onto the pavement of Petchkasem Road. Top-rated menu options include fried prawns, spicy beef salad, and massaman curry with chicken and cashews. Order a sharing platter of chicken satay, spring rolls and seafood treats for a taste of everything.
We recommend booking a table in advance for dinner, though Bussaba is not too busy during lunch. If you’re looking for things to do in the area, Nang Thong Beach, Khuk Khak Beach and the Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park are just a stone’s throw away.
Qcumber
Qcumber is a small but inviting restaurant in the heart of Khao Lak that serves a range of healthy Thai dishes and delicious smoothies. Locals and visitors highly rate Qcumber’s spicy salads, wraps, and impeccable service. We highly recommend washing the restaurant’s signature chicken wrap down with a Zinger mixed fruit smoothie.
The restaurant is open every day besides Tuesday, and while you don’t usually need to book in advance, you can expect a bustling atmosphere during weekend evenings.
Coconut Seafood Restaurant & Bar
If you want to eat authentic Thai cuisine with the toes between your sand, we recommend grabbing a table at the Coconut Seafood Restaurant & Bar. Treat yourself to tasty delights including grilled seafood platters, a range of pasta dishes and a mouth-watering sweet and sour snapper. You can also choose from a lengthy list of beer, wine and cocktails.
After eating, you can walk off your meal along the sandy strip behind the restaurant’s dining tables. Alternatively, you can enjoy a relaxing Thai massage under the shade of a palm tree. If you simply want to soak up the sun, you’ll find reclining beds on the beach.
